Summary of Scope of Services
ATSI provided professional engineering services associated with Morton Salt’s Evaporator System Pan Installation at their Silver Springs, New York facility. The project included: installation of a new 18- foot diameter Monel/Inconel evaporator vessel; heat exchanger; and vapor/steam piping systems. The existing building was also expanded to accommodate the new vessels and associated equipment.
ATSI designed the steel structures and foundations to support the new vessels and piping, along with modifications to the existing building. Piping analysis performed by ATSI included 28-inch diameter brine vapor lines and 18-inch diameter low-pressure steam piping. As part our construction support scope, ATSI reviewed shop fabrication drawings and Finite Element
Analyses of the pressure vessels.
