Flour Packaging & Warehouse Expansion Project: Flour Packaging and Warehouse Expansion Features: Detail Design and Construction Management Summary of Scope of Services ATSI provided design engineering and construction management services for a fast-track 18,000 squarefoot single-story, partial two-story packaging and warehouse expansion including packaging area, palletizing area, warehouse area, machine shop, lunchroom and locker rooms. The expansion required H-pile supported oncrete foundations, hardened concrete floor slab, structural steel framing, insulated masonry bearing walls, insulated metal siding with explosion relief panels, insulated built-up roofing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning with heat-up capabilities (140 degrees maintained for 24 hours) for extermination purposes, integration and extension of existing fire alarm and sprinklers, electrical power distribution, and lighting and site improvements. Services Provided - Review existing plant location, facilities, and operation along with proposed project requirements
- Prepare packaging, palletizing, conveying, and storage equipment arrangement and coordinate engineering with equipment vendor
- Design civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems; perform engineering calculations; and prepare drawings and specifications
- Prepare construction bid documents for multiple prime contractors, solicit bids, conduct pre-bid meetings, evaluate bids, and make recommendations
- Prepare construction schedules and estimates
- Coordinate activities of multiple prime contractors
- Oversee construction work performed by contractors, review and approve project changes, authorize payment, and resolve field problems
