Project: Stove Computer Modeling, 4th Stove and Heat Exchanger Evaluation, Strategic Planning

Summary of Scope of Service:
ATSI performed a detailed process study on the WCI stove system. A detailed evaluation was made on the merits of utilizing a supplemental heat exchanger to boost hot blast stove performance.

ATSI developed the hot blast temperature improvements under four and three stove operation scenarios. ATSI laid out a potential hot blast temperature performance curve over a ten year timeframe for the various capital plan scenarios. This information was used to develop blast furnace operating costs and capital costs for the scenarios. This information was used to perform cash flow and NPV comparisons. A recommendation was made on the best option.
